About WeirFoulds

With the team of lawyers (including Denise Baker) and professional planners (including Paul Chronis), WeirFoulds supports clients through the planning process, from the concept, through to municipal approvals and agreements and, if necessary, hearings before applicable municipal bodies or courts.

Specialty - Denise Baker

Denise Baker's practice focuses on municipal and land use planning issues and related litigation, including  Planning Act applications and appeals and Heritage Act matters. Her practice also includes municipal licensing, Building Code Act and Provincial Offences Act matters.

 

A member of the Canadian and Ontario Bar Association, Denise appears regularly before municipal councils, Committees of Adjustment, the Conservation Review Board, the Ontario Municipal Board.

 

One of Denise’s specialties is actively using mediation and negotiation to effectively resolve disputes between parties.

Specialty - Paul Chronis

Since 1988, Paul Chronis is a senior land use planner at WeirFoulds and a member of the firm’s municipal and planning law practice. He has a degree in Urban and Regional Planning and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Planners and the Ontario Professional Planners Institute.

 

Prior to joining the firm, Paul worked at the Institute of Environmental Research and at the Ontario Municipal Board.

 

One of Paul’s specialities is developing workable strategies based on his years of experience in the planning environment.
